When Mike happened upon Jason’s build, he liked what he saw.

A lot.

A volley of emails were exchanged. Mike asked a couple dozen really good questions and Jason provided a couple dozen really good answers.

The truck was everything Mike had been searching for. Static dropped. Set up to handle nicely. Clean as a whistle. Modified to do things a 67 stock C10 never could.

Serious about not getting outbid, Mike contacted Jason with a firm cash offer and Jason pulled the Ebay listing before it climbed into the sport truck stratosphere.

Cash was transferred and the deal was done. Mike subsequently enlisted Jason to add a top-of-the-line Old Air system to the truck before shipping it to Austin.

Yeah, it gets damn hot here.

Mike Hicks was beside himself when the truck was shipped to him last spring.

Now here's where our story makes an unfortunate lane change. Within weeks of taking delivery of his dream truck, Mike passed away unexpectedly during a surgery.

Months passed as Mike’s treasured truck sat in the garage, a reminder of the man, his love of life and his passion for all things well crafted.

His widow initially considered keeping the truck, but ultimately decided that it should go to someone who would covet it every bit as much as Mike did.

That's where I come in.

In honor of Mike Hicks, we’ve nicknamed the truck “Hixo,” after Mike's renowned Austin, Texas design firm and are offering this beautiful c10 to the discriminating buyer.

Hixo’s features and mods:

Engine: ZZ4 Chevy Crate Engine

Transmission: 700R4 overdrive

Rear: 12-bolt with 3.73 gears

Suspension: Static dropped with CPP drop spindles, Hotchkiss Sway bays front and back for superior handling.

Wheels: 20" by 8.5 front; 20" by 10" rear

Tires: TBD

Instruments: Dolphin

Audio System: Dual CD player quipped with Bluetooth and USB, 6X9 speakers.

Paint: A less-subtle variation of the factory Hawaiian Blue, the blue hue was custom mixed to be more vibrant, before a factory-style two-tone scheme paint was laid down.

Weatherstripping: all window rubber was removed and replaced with Precision brand rubber.

Steering wheel: Classic Industries

Steering Column: CPP

Seating: PUI Deluxe factory style "Hounds Tooth"

Frame: Wire brushed and repainted in single-stage semi=gloss black.

Terms of sale:

"Hixo" is being offered in turn-key condition for $31K.  Feel free to bring your mechanic to perform a full inspection. No joy rides. Test drives will be given if a serious offer is made and a deposit is in hand.

A few important "No's":

  • No, we aren't interested in trading for a sailboat, a piece of land, or a time share in Belize
  • No, we don't need assistance selling this truck
  • No, we won't accept a foreign check or money order from a third-world country
  • No tire kickers, please
  • No, we don't mind helping arrange international or cross country shipping at the new owner's expense

Simply put, if you’re in search of an extremely well-built 1967 C10 in beautiful driving condition, and can afford to pay fair market value for a superb 67 C10, look no further.

If you’re got the dough, then we’ve got your sandwich.

You will not be disappointed.

Thank you.
